We have been working on a new project for Alternativa de Medios. It deals with education and science. It is intended to “show” science institutions the potential of virtual 3D environments to rerepresent scenarios, data, experiences, etc. The project has been sponsored by the Spanish Foundation of Science and Technology, FECYT. It uses an Opensimulator platform and should be online by the end of the year. You can see progress throught its blog Mundo Virtual de la Ciencia.

We had the opportunity to expose a presentation about the state of the art as well as the multiple marketing opportunities in Virtual Worlds. Our presentation was selected by the audience as one of the three more interesting of the seminar. We want to express our thankfullness to the organization for inviting us to such an event and to all the people we had the opportunity to meet while in the Seminar.

We finish and deliver of our first project. Our customer is Catalan Autonomus Government.

The project recreates an area of Barcelona in Secondlife, and shows part of the content offered by Gencat using a machinima presented by Laia, the official Gencat avatar.
